The Mayan family’s spoke various different languages, the different family’s past there languages down from generation to generation to keep the family heritage alive. Throughout the different tribes different languages were taught and passed on. They wrote information in some of their languages on bark and rocks. This was also something they did to decorate temples. The Mayans being native had native languages that they had developed over the time of being in Mesoamerica. There were two main dialects that were dominate throughout the tribes, although we are not sure the name we know the locations were they were formed one is from the southern area Mesoamerica and the other from the Yucatan peninsula.
